Genetic Species
I think that many of you have seen the beautiful demo of a Doom clone created by Ambrosia and made avaible via Aminet some times ago.
Now Vulcan has decided to distribute the game under his seal, so let's see what will expect us when the game will finally released. Firstly the game will
support also Cybergfx that allows a fast chunky to planar conversion speeding up the game very much. But the game will also work on standard A1200.
Gfx is very impressive with a lot of colorful textures for walls and also a lot of well drawn monsters. Sound is very athmospheric with some good sfx (and also with some speeches).
The game is more like to Gloom that Doom with (at least in the demo version) only plain levels. Playability seems ok with a lot of weapons to choose from, and a big variety of monsters and levels.
The finished game should be avaible soon.

Genetic Species
Penso che molti di voi avranno visto il bellissimo demo di un clone di Doom dreato dagli Ambrosia e reso disponibile via Aminet qualche tempo fa.
Ora la Vulcan ha deciso di distribuire il gioco sotto la propria etichetta, allora vediamo un po' cosa ci dovremo aspettare dal gioco finito. Prima di tutto il gioco supportera'
anche le librerie Cybergfx che permettono veloci conversioni chunky to planar velocizzando enormemente il gioco. Genetic Species sara' pero' compatibile anche con gli A1200 standard.
La grafica e' veramente impressionante con un sacco di coloratissime textures per i muri e anche con tantissimi mostri molto ben disegnati. Il lato sonoro e' molto atmosferico con alcuni effetti sonori molto buoni (ed anche con alcune frasi digitalizzate).
Il gioco in se' e' piu' vicino a Gloom che a Doom con (almeno nella versione demo) livelli piani, senza cioe' scale ecc.. La giocabilita' dovrebbe attestarsi su livelli molto alti con tantissime armi tra cui scegliere, e una grande varieta' di nemici e livelli.
La versione definitiva dovrebbe essere disponibile a breve.
